ANALYSIS: Horses don’t come back to the races after missing two years of activity, and Quietasacat’s 152 week layoff is even rarer. He showed ability when 3rd in both starts with juvenile Maidens in 2012 and has
trained well enough to blow the doors off this group despite the lengthy respite. Hamilton High flashed sharp speed from the one-hole debuting in a 12-horse field at Del Mar Aug 20. He draws the fence again, but may be able to get position easier and today’s shorter trip (he debuted at 7F) should help as well. Several of these ran decently in separate heats here July 12 and are eligible to complete the Trifecta. Our Trooper ran well in both of his races here in July, while Relative Time was favored to win his last two starts. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Our Trooper 17.2 – S M Royal Image :17.3 – Quietasacat :17.6

Quietasacat tops the charting in faster than par time for the level in 1:03.6. However, that race was Oct 7, 2012 and that was his last start. He could win this for sure if ready. Give him tote and paddock checks for more clues. Our Trooper plots 2nd and he has the fastest last fraction of 17.2. His plotted race was from Los Alamitos which seems a plus and he is well clear of the 3rd horse S M Royal Image.
