ANALYSIS: Cap’n Raymond is a 7-year-old and could not beat softerrated NW1 Allowance turf sprinters in five straight. However, he is a Saratoga turf sprint winner, he co-tops the charting and the pace figures to be honest to help set up his rally. He worked fast Aug 21, Carmouche has ridden very well at the meet and we’ll give ‘Raymond the HF 15a. Asset Inflation co-tops the charting off his near miss vs. NY-bred NW2 Optional Claimers May 29. He was 6th at this level July 25, but Johnny V. takes over and maybe he can rebound with a better effort. Glowing Ember plots as the speed of the speed off his 5th as the favorite vs. this kind June 12. He might enjoy today’s shorter trip and he makes his third start off the bench. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Big Family :16.5 – Asset Inflation :17.4

This field is only separated by 3.5 lengths in the charting which suggests it could be anyone’s race. Cap’n Raymond and Asset Inflation top the charting in 1:02.9 while Big Family owns the fastest last fraction of 16.5 and charts in a final time of 1:03.0. Also, possible Lone ‘F’ runner Glowing Ember could shake clear entering the stretch and could prove tough to catch.
