ANALYSIS: Leon Robert is moved off the turf and dropped to the bottom by win-at-all-costs Rivelli. He ran OK on this surface last summer and appears to be the best horse (by far) in the race. He also probably has a screw loose somewhere. Shadrach Bond just missed vs. similar in a July 31 two-turner in which he set fast fractions. This move to an elongated one-turn test may suit him. Lookin North and B Manone flunked their first starts vs. winners, but can do better. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Leon Robert :23.9 – Lookin North :24.2

Shadrach Bond seems to catch a field with little early speed and he leads throughout per the charting. However, he only wins by a half-length over Leon Robert who has the fastest final fraction of 23.9. If another horse can pressure ‘Bond on the front end, it could set up well for ‘Robert or even Lookin North who plots 3rd.
