ANALYSIS: There are three that seem to stand out above the others. Frandontjudge looked good beating restricted $32,000 claimers when stretched out in her first start off the claim for Hollendorfer. He now protects his $25,000 purchase with the move to the Allowance ranks and an outside post would be a plus should she crack the starting lineup. Tim Yakteen has been putting Rafael Bejarano on winners all year and he switches to Bejarano while stretching out Maiden turf sprint winner Big Move. She has the speed to go right to the front and may prove hard to down. Sidepocket Run is a 6-year-old mare that has been training sharply for her first start since running 2nd with state-bred Stakes sprinters May 23. She has routed decently and should get a good trip from the second flight. Paper race winner ‘Judge lands the HF 15a, but we’ll use all three to start the Late Pick 4. Redo It gets tested for class after beating Maidens on this course July 26. She’s drawn outside and has modest upset potential. Awesome Lookn is making her second start off the claim for Peter Miller and she has been working regularly of late. She fits as does Q’ Viva, who was 3rd under these conditions on this layout when stretched back out July 26. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Sidepocket Run :29.2 – Frandontjudge :29.6 – Stole a Kiss :30.2

Sidepocket Run has the fastest last fraction of 29.2, but he also plots on the bottom so that might be one to pass on. Frandontjudge has the second fastest last fraction of 29.6 and he plots on top. Even though a horse has the fastest plotted fraction, don’t overlook the second or even third fastest when looking for contenders.
