Race Appraisal - Race 6

ANALYSIS: Guy Code and Wildcat Sailor finished 1-2 in a Starter
Allowance/$32,000 claimer Jan 10. They are up in class, but both are
sharp and merit respect. Guy Code has run well in three straight and wins
the paper race off his last victory Jan 10, so we’ll take him right back as
the HF 15a. Run Like A Million ships down from No Cal off a big debut
win over straight Maidens on synthetic Dec 28. He appears to have
potential and merits a second look. Local Reason finished 4th in a couple
of Cal-bed Stakes last year before hitting the shelf July 30. Juvenile form
can be misleading when it comes to the 3-year-old season, but she’s a
first-time gelding that appears capable of making an impact. We’ll make
her the HF 20. Peradventure was 3rd with this kind three starts back and
might appreciate the return to this level. He could impact the exotics.

CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance
have been: Wildcat Sailor, Run Like A Million :25.7 - Local Reason, Guy
Code :25.8 - Swiss Silver :25.9
