What, no mention of Majestic City? I haven't gone over the race yet, will need to check some replays and stuff, but i'll be looking at that one very closely. He's the gold standard of West Coast 2yo's until someone knocks him off. He's also been pointed to this race for a very long time. I'd prefer he had a race over the track, but that's probably the only way you can knock him.
Looks like Bejarano is jumping off Drill to stay with Creative Cause. Can't say i blame him, judging by the replays. Possible that Baffert is just giving Drill to his main rider Garcia, but that seems unlikely to me, considering their respective results in their two races aboard the colt (especially with the win being the most recent). And assuming that Bejarano is making the decision himself, that says an awful lot, getting off a very well-regarded Baffert colt to ride for Mike Harrington.
PS - Note that Creative Cause was unlucky with the inside post-draw in each of his first two starts, and now gets to move to the outside post. That could potentally be a very favorable thing here, especially with all the speed in the race. Like this gray quite a bit today. Think he's gonna run big. Very strong, distinctive-looking stride that figures to play very well at this distance. Lots going for him here.
He won a very tough race. I wanted to be on him too, but apparently Drill has been getting the better of him in the AM. Then again, he is the "other Baffert", and that makes him very playable.
They had a whole segment in tvg the other day about how creative cause is the best looking 2yo in ca. And that mike Harrington loves this horse. That he is going to the breeders cup.

Third place finisher out of his maiden came back to win in a romp against a good group just a couple days ago as well.
Drill looks good on the track, so relaxed. He seems to handle it all like a pro. Creative Cause looks really good, a little more on the muscle, but not worked up.

Martin Garcia may have kicked Rafael off. Him and Baffert are an unstoppable team. This colt is from the same connections as Lucky.
Seems logical, which is why i kind of went over it in the post above, but it still seems unlikely to me that Baffert would use Bejarano in Drill's second start, get massive improvement from the debut run (when Garcia rode), then kick Bejarano off for the Futurity. I know that Garcia is Baffert's #1 rider, that's obvious, but you know the old saying. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Besides, he does use Bejarano quite a bit as well.

Saw him school a few days back and he looked unreal. Never seen a 2YO look like that.
Where you at in here DC?
