Default Stay Away From the WOOD And why
I always hated some of my favorite horses running in the Wood Memorial but could never put a finger on it. It just seemed so grueling going into the big 3 and that race so close in time.

I put together a list of the past 25 years of Wood Memorial winners and matched against the Kentucky Derby winners. Maybe that answered my question.

I think all of us here tend to look at figures as much as anyone in any hobby, interest of job does.

Heres the list of the past 25 woods and kentucky derby results with*************
ONE HORSE HAS WON THE WOOD MEMORIAL AND THE KENTUCKY DERBY IN THE PAST 25 YEARS. iN 2000 FUS PEGASIS.

May be tough numbers to back if your a stat man.

Empire Maker and Congaree both ran big races in the Derby. Going back a bit further, Captain Bodgit and Unbridled's Song both ran very well also. Worth noting that both Empire Maker and Unbridled's Song had foot problems the week of the race.

Buddha was scratched, a real blow to me because i had a future bet on him @ 50/1 and he was my pick to win the race.

Still a horrible stat no matter how you cut it. I had loved the race Tapit ran in the wood and had some high hopes but i think the race took its toll
