3 Red Neck Gal


Mullins entered with Bejarano down as Jockey. Great combo, winning both races together last year 100%, at Santa Anita. The 6 year old Mare is coming in off a win by almost 2 lengths last out in a 10 claimer. Bumps up in class here, and although Topper's Gold and Jungle Girl may be more appealing, I like the idea of putting Bejarano in the saddle once again. Also, the lack of early speed in this race could set up for a wire to wire finish. Like the setup.







Race 2

2 Poker Dave

In off Maiden Win, keeps Gryder in the irons. Like the last 4 races, all being in the money. Massone could be tough to beat, but think the pace will have an effect here. The win last out posted a field high beyer of 81. ITM all 3 starts at this distance, and 3rd his only race at Santa Anita.






Race 3

4 Sky Marni


First Timer here, Sire looks good with 12% 1st time winners, Dam wasnt too bad. Workouts arent that bad, open race here.





Race 4

1 All Man


Pedroza in the saddle for Canani, who is Very good at Santa Anita. Pedroza has done excellent things with this horse, and what is really interesting is the last 2 races. 7F, beyers show 97 and 94. Beat Star Nicholas last out, who came back to WIN in a stakes race. Will not pass here!!!! Has everything.





Race 5

2 Tough Apples


Great combo offering here with Bejarano and Sadler. Combo is 5 for 20 at Santa Anita, coming in off a 40 Claimer win. Facing much tougher here, but back class shows decent showings at this class. Horse has a 1st, 2nd and a 4th for Sadler since the claim. 9/2 is value for this horse.
