Default Rules & Info for the Bi-Weekly Contest
Contest Information
  • Contest will run bi-weekly Wednesday-Sunday beginning February 13 unless otherwise noted.
  • All entrants will start with an imaginary $60 bankroll.
  • All entrants must post 10 horse picks during the week from the listed eligible racetracks. Each play will constitute a $2 win, place, and show wager ($6 total).
  • Participants with the highest three bankrolls after Sunday of each contest will share $300 or more in prizes*.
  • Residents of all countries except Canada are eligible to participate.
Contest Rules
  1. All contest picks must be posted in the designated contest thread at least five minutes before the official OFF time posted by Equibase. Please include Racetrack, Race #, Horse name, and Horse #. Picks with missing or unclear information will not be counted. In case of descrepency, horse name will always be used.
  2. At least one of the ten plays each week must include reasoning for pick (can be brief, 1-2 sentences). Failure to include reasoning for one pick or more a week will result in disqualification from contest!
  3. Entrants must post exactly 10 plays per week. Entrants must post picks on at least two different days of the contest. (Posting picks for two consecutive days in one post will not be allowed.)
  4. In case of scratches, a maximum of one substitution pick will be allowed. Any additional scratches will be graded as no pick.
  5. Eligible racetracks for contest will be:
    (NYRA) Saratoga, Belmont, Aqueduct
    (Southern California) Del Mar, Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, Fairplex
    (Kentucky) Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Ellis Park, Turfway Park
    (Others) Gulfstream Park, Arlington Park, Delaware, Pimlico
Contest Prizes

First Place: $150*
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

*If the first place winner does not have at least $100 worth of winning tickets:
1. First place will get second place prize money.
2. Second place will get third place prize money.
3. Third place will not get any prize money.
4. $150 will carryover into the following bi-weekly contest!

*All prizes will be awarded as cash credits into a PayPal account. *Residents of Canada are not eligible for prize money.

i wish you could have some night track in the contest too like Mountaineer, penn national, charles town, Preque Isle, Priarie Meadows

Mountaineer is a good choice for a night track. Runs year round also.

What about Sam Houston when it runs thoroghbreds starting later in the year.

A night track would help if for some reason we're unable to make picks. Some of us work regular business hours.

Hello, I am new to this forum, I was just wondering where we are supposed to go to enter our picks for each bi-weekly contest. I haven't looked around too much yet, so I hope it is not a dumb question. Thanks,

Yes I agree Mountaineer and maybe even Penn National wouldn't be a bad idea for the contest on night races.
