Just ran across this quote from Matz in tomorrow's Racing Form: "if he runs well Wednesday we'll give him one shot on the dirt in one of the big stakes leading up to the Kentucky Derby. The Florida Derby would be a possible option."

Lentenor lost, but he did "run well". I wonder if Matz will stick to his guns and test him in a Derby prep? I think he should, and i also think that he will. I just don't see any downside to it.

Here's the post-race quote from Matz: "It’s a good question (where he runs next)," Matz said. "I know he’s definitely the type that can run in the big races, it’s just a matter of timing and whether he can get the experience he needs."
