With the $2 million Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic at Santa Anita on Oct. 24 her major goal, Zenyatta likely will make her next start Sept. 27 in the $250,000 Lady's Secret Handicap the first weekend of the Oak Tree meeting.

Lady's Secret won her Breeders' Cup race against other fillies in 1986 and subsequently was voted Horse of the Year.

If Zenyatta is to win the same honor, she will do so by continuing to run against members of her own sex. "I have no plans to run her against males," Shirreffs said.
