Up-and-coming Chris Clement colt acquitted himself very well in the jump to a Grade 1 last year (at today's distance), missing by just a length and a half to the multiple stakes winner Take The Points. Laid off for several months following that one, he returned last month @ Keeneland in race that was probably just a prep for this one, and came into the stretch totally blocked behinda wall of horses before squeezing through a tight spot inside and then steadying a bit while shifting to the outside from behind another horse, then came flying late from between horses to take second, beaten less than a length. Pretty remarkable stretch run. Figures to improve here, and note that he also improved in his second career start last year when stretching out to today's 1 1/8-mile distance. Should run well here.
