That's unfortunate. Noble's Promise had a good bit of trouble in the Ark Derby, and i thought he would definitely be under-valued on Derby Day.

Just for future reference, Noble's Promise got squeezed back at the start to lose considerable ground (taking him completely out of his stalk-and-go style), then when trying to make up ground ended up getting checked again on the backstretch. Still kept coming into the lane, but the poor guy simply had too much to overcome. I still think he was the best horse in the race, and now it looks like he was coming down with something. Better-than-looked effort, for certain.

they put nobles promise at 50-50 and uh oh bango is out with injury...
