Default Nice field lined up for the Belmont Futurity
Glad to see THE LEOPARD entered, i've been looking forward to seeing him run again. The second-place finisher from his last race, Immortal Eyes, came back to run second again in blazing-fast time behind an impressive Lukas firster. KODIAK KOWBOY starts for Asmussen, and looks like a deserving favorite off his impressive win in the Saratoga Special. TALE OF EKATI is also entered here. I omitted him from my BC Juvenile list (posted here) due to his lack of activity after the Sanford (no published workouts for over a month afterward). Looks like he's strung together a couple of decent drills, but figures a little short on conditioning for a 7-furlong race vs. these kind of horses. Nice animal though. MYTHICAL PEGASUS ran second to Majestic Warrior before breaking his maiden last time out, and of course Majestic Warrior emerged from that race to beat Ready's Image and Maimonides in the Hopeful. Looks overmatched here, but wouldn't be a complete shock.
