I'm looking to find an information service that will provide me live data that I can display into excel.

I'm basically trying to make decisions based on live odds for any particular race up to post time.

I subcribe to TVGfree but it does not allow me to import the data into excel (from what I can tell)

Any insight tot his would be helpful.

I don't know much about spreadsheets, but there's a live toteboard on DRF.com that you might try. Perhaps it's different from the one on TVG, who knows.

Is it possible to find "Value" in exotics and Place and Show betting?

What I mean is, after the tracks cut and based on how people bet, can you find plays that mathimatically work in your favor?

It's very rare that i'll bet to place, and i never bet to show. I also generally stay away from exotics. They do have some merit in certain situations, but i don't like having to count on multiple horses. Counting on one is hard enough.
