Default 2007 Hambletonian Day At A Glance
SATURDAY, AUGUST 4

Post time: 11:30 a.m.; Gates open: 9:30 a.m.

* $1.5 million Hambletonian [3yoct] – Race 11 - Post time: 4:15 p.m.

* $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks [3yoft] – Race 10 - Post time: 3:38 p.m.

* $300,000 Nat Ray [FFA trot] – Race 8 - Post time: 2:35 p.m.

* NBC Broadcast – 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. -- The $1.5 million Hambletonian, and its companion event, the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks, will be broadcast live on NBC Sports. The Hambletonian remains the only harness race to be nationally televised by one of the four major networks.

* Two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman will present the trophy to the winner of the $1.5 million Hambletonian. Foreman, 58, is instantly recognizable as an Olympic and professional boxing champion, and for his George Foreman grills and motivational speaking engagements. But Foreman is also a harness racing aficionado and Standardbred horse owner. Foreman presented the 2006 Hambletonian trophy to the connections of Glidemaster. Before last year’s race, he told driver John Campbell, "Go do it, Hall of Famer!" Campbell did not disappoint, winning an unprecedented sixth Hambletonian trophy with Glidemaster in a stakes record 1:51.1.

* In honor of Foreman’s appearance, the Meadowlands will hold drawings for George Foreman Grills on Hambletonian Day.
