Wilkinson may be the horse for the course. It will be tough to beat the favorite but Wilkinson may be good enough to make some noise here.

He is sitting on a career effort, if he can leave the gate clean. They say his last work was they best they have seen this meet. Did it with ease!!!!! He will drift in price since Elite Alex is in this race. fb

I like Machen and Nacho Business. Hoping both will put forth a big effort this weekend. |

Asst trainer for Neil Howard reports that Machen is probably better prepared for LA Derby than his stablemate, Wilkinson, but that they expect both to put in very good efforts. He also reports that we will see last years 2yo stakes winner, Lou Brissie, in action soon, probably in a alw n1w and to expect a good price since he has been off since last Oct in a Keeneland stakes race but that he is working well and really matured during is off time this winter as he is coming off bone chips in ankle.

Ditto on the above, that is the same thing Howard told me in the paddock on Risen Star day about Lou Brissie. fb
