John Greenhaw broke well from the gate
picks Gulfstream Sunday--Happy B'Day 3 yos!
Before I get to drunk to remember to post this info, be advised that Sunday's GULFSTREAM PARK DERBY, birthday 3 year olds going 1 1/16 on dirt for graded earnings, has a entrant who will not, I repeat, WILL NOT, go off at ml of 6-1!

#5 CASUAL TRICK, 6-1, is a ridgling son of Bernardini out of a Red Ransom mare. Owned by Robert LaPlenta and trained by Nick Zito. His last at Churchill was simply brilliant and he has been working at PMM for several weeks. Every time he works, everyone on the PMM grounds stop what their doing and go to watch, then walk away shaking their heads in amazement. Big time Ky Derby prospect and Angel secured Johnny the mount weeks ago. Only question is if Zito will instruct Johnny to ask him for his all, especially if he is chasing the Tony Dutrow speedster(out of Roman Ruler, can't think of his name but he is super quick). Yet, Casual Trick may not be that far back. Based upon what I am hearing, 2-1 is more realistic.

The GP Derby is not a graded stakes. I just assumed it woukd be with a $100k purse. Go figure?

Here's the replay of that Churchill race. Casual Trick is #6:

Nice call. Ran pretty big to finish second by a neck. He and the winner finished well clear of the rest of the field.
