Default The Green Monkey is entered on Saturday
Race 4 @ Belmont

Btw, i've mentioned Todd Pletcher's struggles with 2yo first-time starters @ the recently concluded Saratoga. Here's an update for ya...he's currently 1-for-his-last-34 with first-time starters in New York.

I'm including a link to an old article about The Green Monkey. Anyone who's thinking about betting on this horse Saturday would be well-advised to take a look. It contains some surprisingly candid remarks about The Green Monkey from a guy associated with the Pletcher stable:

It is an interresting story, your statement about 2 YO for Pletcher, dont forget that this is a 3 YO, but still have some concerns with the late start for this one. Only a 6 horse field so probally not the best betting race anyhow, but a 16 MILLION price tag will make me watch to see how this one runs!

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing.

Tough to back him after reading the article, but I have to wonder if him being entered now indicates he's ready to go? Figures to be well bet tomorrow regardless.

Clearly that's a possibility. I need to look into his recent activity, and if i find anything noteworthy i'll post it here.

Doesn't look like The Green Monkey has been keeping company with anyone of consequence. Not in his recent gate drills, anyway. His last drill was heads-up with Gruffles, whoever that is.
