Watched Yawkey Way, a two-year-old daughter of Grand Slam, win here debut at the spa on Sunday. She got away okay to be third over, then was angled outside for the stretch. Yawkey Way came on and with only two left-handed taps of the whip she widned late. Her pedigree suggests long, but she sure handled herself first time facing the starter.

That's for sure. Yawkey Way had actually worked a couple of times with Too Clever By Half, who ran poorly on Opening Day, but that one did bear out before dropping back sharply (after showing good early speed), so perhaps there was some kind of issue there. And speaking of Chad Brown, i gave out Stand Proud on my site, who paid $27.00 to win in Race 6 today. That one had worked three straight times with Division Winner, who won first time out back on July 8. Also note that Stand Proud was ridden by Castellano, as was Yawkey Way, as was yet another Chad Brown firster who won yesterday named Winning Touch. So Brown has won has already won with 3 firsters at the meet, and all three have been ridden by Castellano. Something to keep in mind.
