Friesan Fire Worked Great This Morning. He Started Out Very Relaxed And In Resonable Fractions And Finished Up Strongly Going The Last 3/8ths In 36 Flat. He Worked The Mile In 1:39.60. Hard Spun Had Done The Same Mile In 1:42. Larry Couldn't Have Asked For A Better Performance. He Will Work A Week From Tomorrow At Churchill And Larry Will Look For A Strong Work Of 59 Seconds Or Less. Let's Hope He Likes The Surface Where The Big Dance Is Run

Friesan Fire will be on a lot of tickets on Derby Day but he will not be on mine. If you look at his 3 races this year not once did he run 6 furlongs faster than 113 and not once did he run a mile under 137. He is a good horse but not in the top 5 in my opinion.
