INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 11, 2009) — She’s Funomenal, impressive winner of her career debut here in mid-November, will aim for her second straight victory in Sunday’s $50,000 Ifyoucouldseemenow Stakes at Hollywood Park.

The 2-year-old daughter of Fusaichi Pegasus drew off to win her only start by 51/2 lengths. Owned by STD Racing Stable and Summit Racing, the bay filly will face four rivals in the 6 ½-furlong Ifyoucouldseemenow, which lines up as follows from the rail out:

She’s Funomenal, with Joel Rosario up, will carry 118 pounds; Haggai, Jose Valdivia Jr., 116; Excellent News, Rafael Bejarano, 118; Feeling Fancy, Martin Garcia, 118, and Seriously, Victor Espinoza, 118.

Haggai and Feeling Fancy also take 1-0 records into the race. The former broke her maiden for a claiming tag of $100,000 at Santa Anita Park in October, while the latter was a 5 ¼-length winner in her career bow at Emerald Downs in June.

Excellent News broke her maiden in her third start at Santa Anita in October, while Seriously scored her first win in her fourth start in September at Fairplex Park. In a subsequent start, she finished fifth in a one-mile allowance race at Santa Anita.

The Ifyoucouldseemenow will run as the third race on Sunday’s nine-race program at Hollywood Park. First post time is 12:30 p.m.

I've seen the replay on this one a few times while researching other horses. Won clear under a big hold while never really being asked throughout the entire race. Had the reins shaken at her a few times in early stretch, but that was about it. Super-impressive filly; looking forward to watching her run tomorrow.

She's Funomenal wins, great race btw. Looked like she might've been beaten in midstretch but she really dug down and got it done late. Strong-willed filly.
