In a related matter, it appears the special-edition DRF "Players Guide" for Del Mar and Saratoga will not be released this year.

Judging by the full-page ad on the back cover ofr today's Racing Form, they've been replaced by "Trainer Stats", which it appears are being sold for $20 a pop. $40 if you want both of them, i guess.

Personally, i was less-interested in the trainer stats than in the lists of unraced 2yo's (from each barn) that could generally be found in those guides. I'm guessing those won't be available in the new books, but who knows.
