picks DAN AND SHEILA in Sat @ GP
Race 8
#12 Dan And Sheila, 4-1
2 yo owned by Zayat has been working at PM and putting out numbers which are super. Debut at 1 mile and gets Javier in the saddle. On the very short list for TAP barn. 4-1 not likely, probably closer to 8/5, but most likely winner of the day.

I posted about this one in the "Horses to Watch" thread just the other day. Glad to hear you've heard good things.

I actually have some conflicting information on this one. He worked heads-up with the track record-setting maiden winner Discreet Dancer back on Nov. 9, but he also worked heads-up with subsequent 6th-place finisher Channel Lady on Nov. 28. Not quite sure what to make of that.

He also worked heads-up with another couple of unraced barnates (Late Night Action and Lightning Ron) on two other occasions, so no information there.

Glad to see he's listed @ 4/1. You know how it goes with these Pletcher maidens sometimes...

Austin Brown worked heads-up today with Lightning Ron, 5 f 1:01.63, 13/22 at Palm Meadows. Am told that this was a pure maintence work and both were under some restraint and only let go for the final furlong when they finished on even terms and both galloped out very nicely. Lightning ron is another Zayat runner on the TAP short list. His earlier works with Dan And Sheila were very good, especially the gate work.

Checked on Late Night Action and word is that he will be pointed toward grass. Very fast works notwithstanding high action. #1 from TAP barn on turf, at least for now. One to keep an eye on for sure. It appears that Dan And Sheila have been working with the A Team at PM, good to see that Austin Brown got put in with Lightning Ron, who has worked with Discreet Dancer and others!
