Both Macho Again and Icebad Crane are beeing pointed to the Belmont, and then Denis of Cork, Tale of Ekati and Anak Nakal from the derby will try again.... And then the newbie Casino Drive, Tomicito, Ready Echo, Spark Candle are also eyeing the belmont! Would like to see a full field again! What is the highest number allowed to run in the belmont? |

Belmont Stakes Probables, Possibles. In addition to Big Brown and Grade II Peter Pan winner Casino Drive, New York Racing Association Stakes Coordinator Andrew Byrnes expects Denis of Cork, Tale of Ekati and Anak Anak Nakal (third, fourth and seventh in the Kentucky Derby) and Tomcito to run in the Belmont Stakes. Preakness runner-up Macho Again and third-place finisher Icabad Crane are now listed as questionable. "Nothing is etched in stone," Byrnes said." A lot can change in three weeks. |

I think as race gets closer more will drop out and we will have a small and impossible field to choose from...if I see a SUPPLEMENTAL ENTRY I will jump all over it...jmo...w2w
