When I watched Beau Croix run last time he left an impression. This three-year-old trained by Barclay Tagg is on a mission. Forget the fact he was posting his best ever run in six races. Beau Croix got away okay to be fifth inside two in the early going. I liked the way he cornered on the first turn. Castellano had to check him moving to the half(-1) and he had to check him again waiting for running room on the far turn. When Castellano set him down he came on to get the lead. I loved his trying and reaching style coming to the wire. It appears this colt has figured things out and I'll be surprised if he does not deliver.
