John Greenhaw broke well from the gate
picks Aqueduct 3rd Saturday--2 yo
Race 3
mdn $51k 2yo mile 70

Top 2 year olds trying to break maiden before shipping down to Florida for the winter. The 9/5 morning line favorite has his work cut out for him as he stretches out after only going 6 furlongs at Monmouth and laurel, where he showed speed but today adds blinkers . #4 HAKAMA, 9/5, for Trombetta gets a japan traveling Ramon. He will get plenty of pressure up front today and will find these tougher than what he has faced previously. The blinkers-on may work against him as he will get out early, get pressed, and should get headed late by a couple of proven distance class horses.

#2 RACONTEUR, 2-1
One of the last A.P. Indy/Storm Cat mare off=spring around. Cost $240k for Dogwood/TAP. Been unfortunate to run against buzz saws like Vexor, Seeker, Speightscity, Etc. No competition like that in here today. He is just now starting to figure out what he's supposed to do and he is starting to put on racing muscle and fill out. The plan is to break maiden today and head down to Gulfstream for the Holy Bull Stakes. The barn expects to win today, but are very concerned about #6:

#6 KNOCK ROCK, 7/2
Has had seven starts, all on turf and most on soft to yielding. Showed speed and stamina and has the best speed figures if they transfer from turf to the Inner Track. The "In Form Horse" should have plenty left for the long stretch run and should find the turf-to-dirt angle to his liking.

#3 SIDE ROAD, 5-1
Well bred Darley youngster has had only one race which was a throw-out on the muddy dirt. Visually impressive and is expected to show world's of improvement 2nd out on a dry track. Expect him to challenge for the lead up front under goofy rider Alan Garcia, who for some unknown reason still gets mounts for Kieran McGlaughlin. May have enough left to get there for minor reward.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

John-I'm with you on the #6. I see him closing like a freight train at a nice price. The #2 horse will take tons of money.

Disaster!

Nobody got out to run with the ml fav, #4 Hakama, who had it easy on the front and went gate to wire. #2 Raconteur runs 2nd entire way, and very disappointing effort from Knock Rock and Side Road, who finished way up the track.
