Here's a horse i came close to giving out today:

Churchill - Race 5

#2 Longlegged Ali (5/1 ml)

The reason i like her is that she worked heads-up with Leigh McLovin on May 24, and most recently worked a good 4 furlongs from the gate on June 19. In fact, from 11 gate drills that day, her time was 3/5's faster than the next-closest horse. Also, both live Werner 2yo's Run Away and Hide & Leigh McLovin had 4-furlong gate works heading into their debut, as this one does.

What kept me from giving her out is that both Run Away and Hide & Leigh McLovin were ridden by Robby Albarado, and Albarado turns up on a different horse here (the Zayat/Romans filly Foxy Bailey). I'm guessing he had the option to ride Longlegged Ali, and chose not to (for whatever reason).

Longlegged Ali ran 3rd. Albarado's mount ran 2nd. Interesting.
