Race 2 - #3 Nene (6-1) Is dropping not only into the claiming ranks for the first time since his maiden, but he also drops into a race restricted to three year olds only. He a has a nice series of works for his return one of which was missed off the official work tab 7/27 4f in 49.3. Today's race seems to have enough early pace to set up his late kick so look for to be running these down late.
Race 5 - #4 Scottish Diamond (6-1) Is coming out of a race that was dominated by speed. This race is loaded with early speed and he will tracking them and should pounce on them as they turn for home. The Art Sherman barn was having slow year, but he seems to be turning things here at Del Mar and this gelding has a couple of nice 4 furlong drills since coming here to Del Mar.
Race 8 - #6 Passified (5-1) Comes out the Gr. 2 Cash Call Mile where she put in a good account of herself. She is a total pace play today as she looks to be the controlling speed of the race and we love to Mike Smith on a "Lone" on the turf. She has won over the turf course here at Del Mar and she has two nice works over the turf course since she last raced. Look for Mike Smith to take advantage of the lack of pace in here and steal the Gr. 1 Mabee here today at Del Mar.
