Race 3 - #5 Evaluate (5/2) Makes his third start off the long layoff after a couple of even sprint efforts. Has always shown a touch of ability and today looks like his turn for his cap and gown.
Race 7 - #5 Summer Haze (10-1) Ran a terrific race in his only try over the turf. He is working well for his return and trainer Greg Gilchrist does a wonderful job with turf runners winning at 35% over the past 5 years. He usually spots his horses right and he has shown the ability to ship horses south and win. Interesting to see him ship this one south as there must have been a 5 furlong sprint or two over the turf up at Bay Meadows where he has already won over the turf. Look for this one to give the big favorite all he wants and more today.
